A QUICK CHECK FIRST
What you’ll need
- The full M3U playlist link from ZivoPlay, not just a server address.
- A Windows PC or Mac connected to the internet.
- VLC downloaded from VideoLAN’s official website.
VLC is useful for playlist playback and diagnosis. These VLC steps use M3U. To use the Xtream Codes details we also provide, choose a compatible desktop IPTV player with an Xtream Codes login. VLC does not offer that same login screen.
Returning after a renewal? Check your existing setup first. Don’t delete a working playlist unless you need to replace its details.

0 of 5 steps complete- 01
Install VLC
Visit videolan.org and download VLC for your operating system. Install and open it. If you already use a current version of VLC, you can continue without reinstalling.
- 02
Open a network stream
On Windows, choose Media > Open Network Stream. On macOS, choose File > Open Network. Open the network URL field; the exact dialogue appearance can vary by VLC version.
- 03
Paste the complete playlist link
Copy the full M3U URL from your ZivoPlay message and paste it into the network field. Choose Play or Open. Do not split it into username and password fields or paste it into a public online playlist checker.
Good to knowZivoPlay provides both formats. Use your M3U link for VLC; ask support to resend it if needed. Do not guess a playlist URL or share your password to obtain one.
- 04
Select a channel from the playlist
Allow the list to load, then open VLC’s playlist view and select an entry. Check several channels. If the list loads but nothing plays, check the account expiry and whether another device is already using the connection.
- 05
Keep your playlist private
Treat the M3U link like a password because it may contain account credentials. If you save a playlist file, keep it on your own device. Use a dedicated compatible player if you need a fuller programme-guide interface.
IF SOMETHING GETS IN THE WAY
Common Windows & Mac questions
VLC cannot open the MRL or network address
Check that you copied the entire URL without line breaks, quotes or spaces. Confirm it is a playlist link and that your account is active. If the same link fails on another supported player, send the error wording to support privately.
The channel keeps buffering
Try an HD stream, close playback on other devices and compare several channels. If everything buffers, restart the player and test Ethernet or a stronger Wi-Fi connection. Avoid repeatedly reinstalling the app; it can remove your saved login and favourites.
